- Active Registered Life Planner® has earned the Registered Life Planner® designation and continues to keep their skills sharp by regularly attending continuing education sessions (8 hours/2 years).
- Registered Life Planner® designation requires completion of The Seven Stages of Money Maturity® Training (16 hours), immersion in the EVOKE® Life Planning Training (36-40 hours), and a six-month practicum which involves peer review, mentorship, coaching, and supervision (40-50 hours).
- EVOKE® Life Planning Training Graduate has attended a 4-day online or a 5-day residential course on a planning method that uses a structured interview process to uncover clients’ most exciting, meaningful, and fulfilling aspirations and engage them in the work of creating their own vibrant futures, based on a solid financial architecture.
- The Seven Stages of Money Maturity® Training Graduate has attended a 2-day course that teaches listening, principles of communication, and client-planner attitudes, values, biases, and behavioral characteristics and their impact on financial planning.

Mike Kelly, Founder and Principal Advisor of Kelly Financial Planning, takes a life planning approach to address your financial picture. The firm is a proud member of the Garrett Planning Network, Inc., an organization of professional, fee-only financial advisors. Founded by nationally recognized CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional Sheryl Garrett, network members are dedicated to providing independent, objective financial planning services and competent, professional advice to people from all walks of life on a fee-only, as-needed basis.
Mike works with individuals, families and business owners across all chapters of life – from those just beginning their careers to pre-retirees. He also offers educational sessions, workshops and consultations to community groups and organizations. With a commitment to serve the public, Mike’s goal is to help people gain a deeper comprehension of personal finance in the context of everyday life.
Mike provides financial planning and advice on an hourly, as needed or project basis to people regardless of net worth or level of income. Mike does not sell securities or financial products. He also does not accept commissions from mutual fund companies, brokerage firms or any third party. Without any conflict of interest from third parties, his advice is objective, transparent and always in your best interest.
