Sidney’s journey into financial services began with a college class that sparked his interest in the stock market. After an internship at AFLAC, he landed a job in the industry, driven by a desire to help clients navigate their financial futures. However, it wasn’t until he encountered a mentor who emphasized the importance of life planning that Sidney’s approach to financial planning truly transformed.
Through the mentorship of Stephen Brody and subsequent training at Kinder Institute of Life Planning, Sidney learned that financial planning is about more than just numbers—it’s about understanding clients’ values, aspirations, and fears. This holistic approach resonated with Sidney, leading him to integrate life planning seamlessly into his practice.
Sidney’s integration of life planning into his financial planning process has had a profound impact on his clients. By helping them uncover their deepest desires and align their finances with their values, Sidney has witnessed clients achieve their dreams, from traveling to Greece to starting new businesses.
But perhaps the most significant transformation has been in Sidney himself. Sidney Divine Bio
Sidney R. Divine graduated from LaGrange College in 2011. He then pursued his dream to help good people live a better life. By 2014, he had earned the title of Financial Planner and began to work with his clients by helping them optimize cash flow, manage risks, and plan for their investment and retirement needs. In 2015 and 2016, Sidney was nominated for Financial Planner of the year; an award he proudly earned in 2017 while being ranked within the top 2 percent of 1,875 planners nationally within the Fortune 500 firm. Sidney’s belief in education since beginning as a Financial Planner has seen him earn the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation, and the Registered Life Planner (RLP) designation from the Kinder Institute of Life Planning.
Upon earning the prestigious Registered Life Planner® (RLP®) designation, Sidney Divine CFP®, ChFC®, RLP®, RICP®, CDFA®, fully embraced his new role as a financial life planner. Sidney is dedicated to working with clients to help them align their financial realities with the lives they aspire to live.
